Carved Madrone or Arbutus wood plate or platter, approx 7 x 7.5" across.  The size varies slightly as Madrone wood changes shape as it dries, creating wonderfully organic pieces.  Madrone is a hard wood that comes in gorgeous colors ranging from almost white to a wonderful blush pink.  Madrone is one of my favorite woods to turn.  This is part of a large chunk of Madrone found in the PNW.
